FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN

The Family Support Centre’s previous facility, which was in operation since 1992, is in dire need of replacement. The building could no longer be repaired and has been demolished, leaving families fleeing violence without a safe place in the long term if a new facility cannot be secured. Presently, the shelter has been temporality relocated to another residence to continue providing services in the short-term. We are raising funds to build a new, permanent safe-haven for women and their families who are fleeing domestic violence.

 

Since 1989, the FSC has offered shelter and support to families facing violence. It is a vital player in the overall Northwest Territories support network for families in crisis, providing basic needs and support to women and children fleeing family violence, while working on advocacy and education to help support strong families and healthy relationships.
